It’s now obvious that the British police have COVERED UP the true circumstances of the politically motivated assassination of Reform UK’s immigration spokesperson Ann Widdecombe within her own home
I am disappointed in King Charles. He should show Ann Widdecombe some professional respect, at the very least.
Will the king acknowledge Widdecombe publicly, like he did for Scottish National Party MP Alex Salmond, who died of a heart attack?
Even a word to the family would be sufficient. Charles sent a letter to the family of Labour MP Jo Cox. Will he send one for Widdecombe?
His silence isn’t even the worst part. What Charles did do was publicly express sadness at the relatively peaceful passing of the Emir of Qatar a day after his death, barely a week after Widdecombe’s murder. It is downright tactless to express mourning over a wealthy foreign ruler, yet no word on the brutal murder of a British government minister. The KING'S government.
Whatever you may feel about the Reform UK party, or Ann Widdecombe herself, remember that the king is indicating that he is partisan - and publicly so. The monarch is supposed to be impartial, not politically slanted. It doesn’t matter what he personally feels.
