What a fantastic read Dan. Thank god you are back with us, have missed you so much. Our country seems lost. Can't wait for your daily show. I was very confident we would get you back, but those lefties are dangerous. Onwards and upwards 🙌 xx

It's taken far too long and I'm sorry about that, but you know how much I had to sort out. BUT you can't get rid of me now. There'll be loads on here over the next few weeks before the show launches too!

Dan, censorship is not just happening in the media but in other workplaces too. I have just come through one of the most grilling, upsetting experiences in my workplace due to some things I had posted on line. I 'unfortunately' work for the NHS and in late September I was called to a meeting attended by my line manager, a HR manager and another manager & my Twitter name was put up on the screen and I was asked to confirm, that that was mine, which I did. Then I was told that a member of the public had contacted them with a number of Tweets that I had either liked or posted (there were about 20 over a 4yr period)asking if I was the sort of person they wanted working for them. I was accused of being racist, islamiphonic & transphobic. After being asked a few questions I was told that I would be undergoing a formal disciplinary and would be contacted in a week or so. About 4wks later I was called to attend another meeting with the same HR Manager and another manager from the IT Department. This 2hr meeting was really distressing as it was obvious they had decided I was racist bigot. I suffer from a health condition which was really affected by the way I was being interrogated and I got extremely upset during this meeting. I felt forced into explaining a traumatic personal situation that I suffered some years before(something really terrible that I never talk about) and some things I saw and reacted to on line had had really bad affect on me. I was told I should undergo a medical assessment to prove what I was saying, which, as humiliating as it was, I did. Following this I was told the situation would move to the next step and I would be contacted. This was dragged out for the next 3mths and as Christmas approached I asked my line manager when the next stage would be completed and she said it would be the new year. This meant I was left in a very anxious state over Christmas. I had a holiday to Saint Lucia booked for two weeks in early January but had to go on this still unsure of what the outcome of my situation would be. It has really affected my health. On Christmas ever I had an admission into A&E as I had been having really bad panic attacks for weeks and on the morning of Christmas Eve, I found my heart beating really erratically and I felt like I couldn't breath. The doctor who treated me put it down to what wash happening to me at work, which he totally disagreed with and through, and he actually said 'what's happened to free speech'! I also suffer from epilepsy and the morning after I arrived in Saint Lucia at the beginning of January, I suffered a severe epileptic seizure that put me in hospital for 2 days. This was the first seizure I had suffered for nearly 8yrs and when I explain to the doctor the disciplinary I had been under he put the reason for my seizure down to stress of this. This stay in hospital in St. Lucia cost me nearly £9000 as my condition is not covered by Health or Travel Insurance. I returned from holiday I was advised that I had to attend a panel a week later. This panel consisted of 5 more people and for another 1.5hrs I was interrogated. This whole experience was upsetting enough but made even worse as 2yrs prior when I was working at another NHS Trust, I was called into a meeting by my line manager there because she said the same thing had happened (i.e. a member of the public had contacted them with a number of my Tweets) and I put under a formal disciplinary. I was called into a meeting held in a dark room, on a long table with my manager at one end and a guy from HR at the other. It was like something they would do in Russia. And I was really interrogated, told I was racist and at one stage my line manager aggressively held up her arm, pinched a lump of her skin and said 'if you are born with skin this colour - you are privileged'. She then suggested I read a book called White Privilege. The final outcome of both situations was a formal disciplinary notice on my record. But the latest situation has had many other effects due to the way it has been handled. Just to give you some idea of what the posts were that they were reacting to: In the first instance, the Tweet they had taken most objection to was one commenting on the men who had groomed the girls in Rotherham. And on the 2nd occasion, on of the tweets was objecting to a clip of 3 black women dressed very scantily at the Notting Hill Carnival who walked up to a white policeman standing by the side of the road, just doing his job, and they started to thrust their pelvis simulating sex, into his groin laughing. The policeman was so obviously embarrassed, humiliated but felt he couldn't do anything to stop what was happening. In 2016, I stood as a candidate for the Brexit Party and one of the posts was a photograph of me campaigning for the Brexit Party, and it was obvious that they felt that anyone associated with the Brexit Party was a racist. The end result of this horrible four years is that I have had to remove my Twitter account completely and am extremely careful of what I put on Facebook or anyone and I am really scared that it will come back to me again as it seems someone is out to put me out of work. I'm sure I'm not the only person going through something like this but I just wanted to let you know, that you are not alone and it is happening everywhere. Thank you for setting up tis site - I feel safe talking about this experience here, it's the only place I feel I can.

Well firstly, I am SO GLAD you feel safe enough to share this – that's what I want this Outspoken community to be about.

Secondly, I am so angry that this is happening in this country.

You should be able to post whatever the hell you want on social media.

We have to fight for our free speech.

Thanks Dan. I'll did put this post up tentatively though with a little worry that there may be some spy who has got onto the sight and would read it - that stupidly is the paranoia that I've developed in this Orwellian world we are living in. Sadly, I need to work. I'm sure you are doing a tight watch on that though. And as you say, wee need to fight for our free speech. Thanks again for setting up this sight.

That is horrific! So sorry you have had to go through all of this. The world we live in has turned on its head where just stating facts is now apparent evidence of hate and bigotry. Those of us who see the dangers in this new woke world, where the sinister agenda of the few leads to increasing cancel culture, need to stand together and fight back. We must continue to support those journalists who refuse to conform, like Dan.

That is such a disturbing ordeal you've been put through. It is unbelievable what is happening. I worked for the NHS and, sadly, your story doesn't surprise me. I observed that whistle-blowers were likely to lose their jobs and managers closed ranks. This highlights the problem with the NHS and they seem to act like a mafia. The whole organisation needs scrapping and reformed with patients at the core and the aims should be to care for people's health problems. What makes things even worse is that you hadn't done anything wrong, your reasonable opinions and supporting Brexit was in no way in your capacity as an NHS employee and how many complaints were received to subject you to all these frightening interrogations.

I hope you are ok now.

Thanks Julie, I really appreciate everyone's support. I did ask for the name of the person who contacted them as I wondered if it was one of the managers from my previous contract but was told for confidentiality reasons they couldn't divulge that. I discovered from my stepdaughter who is a lawyer (and kindly wrote the statement I read out at my final investigation meeting) that the only way I could find out who the person was was if I took them to court, which I couldn't afford to do. If however, it does follow me to my next contract, which I hope to start in April I will look at this as it is really impeding my ability to work anywhere. It is like the mafia, even closer to Orwell's 1984 - big brother watching everything you say or do. Thanks again.

I am so sorry you had to go through this, it must’ve been so traumatic and shocking for you. This is just disgusting and bullying behaviour from them. I hope you are beginning to feel better after all of this 🙏🏻🩷

Thank you Annie, I agree it was really bullying behaviour, especially when they knew they were affecting my health. Not something you would expect from an employer that is there to take care of people's health. It's still really fresh but my contract at this employer is finishing at the end of this month and I'm looking for something new, so hopefully that will put it all behind me. Thanks again.

That is really, really awful!

It is always nice to find a community and I hope that your health continues to be good x

I retired from the NHS in 2022 I started in 1984, I was lucky I could retire.

I was bullied daily by HR to have the vaccine now living with this time-bomb

I hate what the NHS has become, And different things I am told I am glad I am out.

Teresa, this is so shocking to read and makes me realise that we are living in an era that supports mental attitudes similar to the Spanish Inquisition! We are not a free and tolerant society now. We are an oppressed people, forcefully committed to politics that we have not agreed to, ruled by large corporations with suspect aims and shallow values that compensate for lack of true religion and without any profound philosophy. The NHS has no remit to behave like this towards you and I feel you were hounded out of your job. Are you a member of a Union? I was once bullied in the workplace and I found the Union was very kind and helpful. You have probably already tried them or feel they will not help as it is the NHS but sometimes it all depends on the individuals taking up your case. I wish you lots of luck for the future!

Expand full comment

Hi Katherine, thank you so much for your supporting message. Unfortunately I am not a member of a union so wasn’t able to get any help from them. I have now secured a new role in another part of the NHS and hopefully this experience can be put behind me. I have closed down all of my social media and apart from this site I feel I cannot risk commenting on anything. I agree that we are sadly not living in a free and tolerant society any more. Best wishes

It’s so good to see & hear you again, Dan. I sent many emails to GBNews on your behalf, pleading for your immediate reinstatement. I’m very disappointed in them, especially in light of their “no one gets cancelled” slogan. They can’t say that anymore with their failure to stand by you, Laurence Fox & Calvin Robinson! I can’t wait to listen to & watch your show every day! Congratulations for your strength, resilience, perseverance & triumphant return!

I just watched your appearance on the Megyn Kelly Show, which is where I first saw you. I sought your show out on GBNews online after seeing your appearances on MK, because I live in the USA. YOU brought me to GBNews & they lost a lot of viewers for canceling you. I would guess tens of thousands (maybe more) of your viewers wrote multiple emails to GBNews to voice their support for you. Frankly, they folded like cheap suits, caved to the Left’s & Ruling Class demands & revealed how weak they are & how phony their no cancel claims were. It was an enormous mistake & my guess is they are enduring extensive repercussions. But… as you always say… LET’S GO! Can’t wait for your daily show to start!!
